Church Ministries
Deacon Ministry
Chairman- Deacon Gregory PiggVice-Chairman-
Acts 6:1 gives us the origin of the need for Deacons:
"And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were being neglected in the daily ministration."
A need for service to the widows was growing, and the murmurings were rooted in the thought the Hebrew widows were being favored in their allotment from the church.
Deacons originated from conflicts in the early church as the number of believers was steadily growing. The qualifications of the Deacons stated below, are vital to the administration of these responsibilities.

Psalms 149:3-4 Let them praise His name with the dance. Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people. He will beautify the humble with Salvation.
The Purpose of Dance in the Body of ChristTo praise the Lord in the dance—Pslams 149:3To love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength—Mark 12:30To make His praise glorious—Exodus 15:20To rejoice and usher in God’s presence—Psalm 150:4To express joy and victory—II Samuel 6:14To willingly present our bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord via the dance—Romans 12:1MissionTo demonstrate the majesty, power, splendor and wonder of the Scriptures through movement. Through this we encourage the believer in his relationship with the Lord and draw the unbeliever to Him. We begin by encouraging ourselves in our love for God and each other.Through our dance and in all we do; we do it for the glory of God. We vow to teach, encourage, and inspire others to worship God through the use of the movement arts. Rather than just learning the dance, as a dancer, I will listen to the Holy Spirit and move as He instructs. Through participation in this ministry, we seek to bring ourselves closer to God through prayer, bible study, fellowship, and discipleship, while creating loving relationships within our ministry. We are not here to entertain – only to minister to others. As a Godly outlet for all those who desire to praise God through dance, we will visually interpret selected songs to express the message of God’s good news.
